The problem with a full size door in a hall way is that when open, it completely obstructs the walk way. We've replaced the downstair hall closet door with double doors to give full access to the closet while not blocking the hallway.
We put double doors to the basement as well.
All the hardware throughout the house has been updated with contemporary brushed nickel (door knobs and hinges) no dated brass hardware here.

Front Door. You can see the screen door, it is a 2 part door, bottom is glass and top slides and can be closed to all glass to keep out weather (or keep A/C in) or lowered to expose screen to let the air in. You can catch a little of the bluestone paver walkway.
In addition to the Deck, we have a small patio on the back of the family room, great place to just relax especially in spring and fall when it's not too hot (we have a Patio Heater, to stretch the season out even a bit further).

Raised garden beds in back yard. Each year, we usually grow some herbs and vegetables, but since we put the house on the market, we've replaced with just flowers.
